He was the winner of the 63rd Jaen International Piano Competition held in 2022, and this album includes four pieces he performed in the competition. The competition requires the performance of works by contemporary Spanish composers, and the new work offered at the 63rd edition was by Laura Vega from Gran Canaria. Inspired by the poems of Santiago Gil, another poet from Gran Canaria, whose motif is love and death, his work does not demand extreme virtuosity, but instead asks the performer to play the role of a poet. Other performances include Liszt's Sonata and Granados, and Shostakovich's Piano Quintet with the Breton String Quartet.
