This is the fourth album in Dario Salvi's series of world premiere recordings of Aubert's overtures, including a variety of world premiere recordings, and introduces some of the best-known \"Fra d'Overture\" and \"Fra Dia\". From the overture and interlude to the best-known \"Fra Diavolo,\" to the baroque \"Divertissement at Versailles,\" to the overture and introduction to the almost unrecorded \"The Betrothed of the King of Garbe,\" this is a fascinating array of works colored with colorful Rossini-esque melodies and orchestrations.
