He was strongly influenced by his close friend Shostakovich, but in his later years, he shifted to a lyrical style that reflected his nostalgia for his youth and his strong anti-war sentiment, and wrote his own unique works. This album contains two \"Chamber Symphonies\" for string orchestra. Both are revised versions of the string quartets of his youth, the first of which was originally composed in 1940 as \"String Quartet No. 2. The fresh melody at the beginning of the piece eloquently expresses the enthusiasm of the young Weinberg. No. 3 is also a revised version of \"String Quartet No. 5,\" and Weinberg adopted all four movements except for the second, which is also full of nostalgic atmosphere of his youth. The East West Chamber Orchestra, which will perform the piece, is an ensemble for the International Music Festival presided over by Yuri Bashmet. It is a group of virtuoso musicians who have gathered from all over the world.
