His \"Improvisation\" and \"Exercise in D-flat major\" written at the age of 13 are reminiscent of Chopin and Liszt, while \"Pieces for Piano\" composed two years later already shows Toni's unique style, departing from tonality. The \"Pieces for Piano\" composed two years later shows Toni's unique style, which has already departed from tonality. The two cadenzas for Mozart's piano concerto at the end are a tribute to his teacher, Benedetti Michelangeli. Here we can sense a shift in Toni's style: while the 1949 \"Cadenza for No. 25\" is a free development of Mozart's melody, the 1990 \"Cadenza for No. 24\" is almost entirely free of Mozart-ness, filled only with free melody! The \"Cadenza for No. 24\" is a free melody. Throughout the series, Aldo Orvieto performs all the works.
