He is also known for having been exposed to Wagner’s music, which led him to introduce German music into the Italian musical scene—then dominated by bel canto opera—and for his efforts to popularize orchestral music.\nThis album features two works: the brilliant “Piano Concerto,” which showcases Zuganvati’s virtuosity as an accomplished pianist, and the “Sinfonia Festiva,” a short piece with a dance-like character reminiscent of Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony.
