Although earlier Turkish music was quite different from that of the West, with complex rhythms and melodies, Erkin incorporated and fused these traditional elements into Western music. Especially worth listening to is a rhapsody using a unique dance form called \"kyocheke. Recorded in 2014 by the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra \/ conducted by Teodore Kıçır.
