Written for the renowned horn player Dennis Plain, this work—as you will discover upon listening—is quite rich and substantial, featuring a first movement that begins with a friendly theme, a poignant second movement, and a third movement featuring a Mozart-like theme that undergoes various variations—all written in a highly condensed style with absolutely no wasted notes.
