This album features four pieces—including world premiere recordings—selected from the gems of his 40-year creative career. From the “Summer Concerto,” which follows Baroque forms, to the “Symphonic Prelude”—one of his most original early works—and on to pieces from his later years, this album reveals glimpses of the greatness of Pizzetti’s music, which is by no means widely popular today.
