She studied organ at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, and at the age of 17 played before Gilman. His experience as an organ accompanist for silent films was also a great asset to his organ repertoire, and he used his knowledge of the instrument in many of his compositions, including the Sonata No. 1, a work written before his first symphony in 1932 that is notable for its masterful technique and homage to his teacher Gilman, and the Sonata No. 2, a work that shows the influence of Bach while also displaying his own originality. The \"Passacaglia and Fugue\" is a unique and original piece that shows the influence of Bach. The Suite No. 1, premiered in 1942, consists of short movements, including a fantasy, a fugue, a slow movement with spiritual elements, and a lively toccata. Other pieces include the lovely melodic \"Adoration\" and the graceful \"Caprice.\n\nThe organ used in this album was built by American organ builder Ernest Martin Skinner (1866-1960) in 1930 for a church in New Jersey. It was moved to the Saal Church in Ingelheim. It is a valuable instrument born in the U.S. at a time when Price was vigorously producing works.\n\nNaxos Japan","brand":"Naxos","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51874591506721,"sku":"4945604599566","price":2390.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4945604599566.jpg?v=1759410149","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/4945604599566","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
