The famous “Holbae Suite” is a suite of Baroque-style dances rendered in the musical language of his own time. The other works were arranged by Grieg himself, drawn from his vast collection of original songs and piano pieces. “Two Sad Melodies,” “Spring Past,” and “A Broken Heart” are among the most popular of Grieg’s compositions.
