Although it was not well received by critics, it is perfectly acceptable when listened to today, when a variety of music is mixed in, and in a sense, this \"understandability\" seems to have made it more popular. The recording also includes his Fifth Symphony, which is a liberation of his musicality, as he had been interested in Slavic music since the early 1950s. Recorded in 1993 by the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine under the direction of Theodor Kuchar.
