Description:
Eleven previously unreleased live recordings of a rare performance by Neil Young & the Stray Gators at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA, on February 5, 1973, have now seen the light of day. Between 1971 and 1973, Neil toured with the Stray Gators, in between his tours with his old friends Crazy Horse and his solo career. The famous lineup of Tim Drummond (bass), Kenny Betley (drums), Jack Nitsche (piano), and Ben Keith (steel guitar) can be heard playing with them on the classic albums "Harvest" and "Time Fades Away. This rare archival recording, Tuscaloosa, includes live versions of songs from his debut self-titled album, 1969's "Here We Are in the Years," and his early and most explosive-selling album, " After the Gold Rush (1970) and Harvest (1972), his most explosive-selling albums of his early years.
