Director Katabuchi praised her voice, saying, "I can't think of anyone else." Her voice breathes life into Suzu gently and softly. The characters surrounding Suzu are all talented actors, including Yoshimasa Hosoya, Natsuki Inaba, Mishu Omi, Daisuke Ono, Megumi Ban, Nanayo Iwai, Shigeru Ushiyama, and Mayumi Shintani. Shochiku Shinki Gekijou's chairperson, Shibuya Tengai, also makes a special appearance. The music for this film was composed by Kotringo.
