Furthermore, the film’s incorporation of themes such as caring for a family member with a disability and financial struggles within the family offered a glimpse into the artistic style of Beroccio, who would go on to direct numerous socially conscious works such as *Good Evening, My Love* (2003) and *Sleeping Beauty* (2012), making this a significant work. The lead role is played by Lou Castel. Following his starring role in this film, he continued to appear in a wide range of productions, from the spaghetti western *The Bandits Who Tear Through the Wilderness* (1966) to the French film *The Birth of Love* (1993), directed by Philippe Garrel.
