The work consists of three parts and, based on Beethoven’s music, expresses the composer’s own inner world. Part 1, “Beethoven Fragments,” depicts Beethoven’s life, which appears in fragments throughout the dance. I take my hat off to the expressive performance of Arayes Martínez in the role of Beethoven. Part 2, “Intermezzo,” depicts the world of Greek mythology set to the music of “The Creatures of Prometheus,” and I am captivated by the supple movements of Edwin Levatsov in the role of Apollo. Finally, Part 3, “Eroica,” features a complete performance of Symphony No. 3, “Eroica,” unfolding as a brilliant symphonic ballet.\nJapanese dancers also stand out in the production, notably Mai Arii, who appears in the first movement of Part 3, “Eroica.” She left the Hamburg Ballet in 2019 to join the Houston Ballet as a demi-soloist but has returned to her former company this time as a guest soloist. Also appearing is Madoka Sugai, who was promoted to principal in 2019 and has garnered attention for her exceptional jumping ability and expressiveness.\nNeumeier described his creative intent for this production as follows: “To translate the emotions that arise in my heart when listening to Beethoven’s music into choreography, and to create ‘dance’ in harmony with his music. Without meticulous planning, a narrative, or a ‘dramaturgical concept’ beforehand, to improvise an interpretation of his music and simply create movement and situations of movement. At the same time, to investigate and research Ludwig van Beethoven—to discover and reflect on facts about his life as a composer and his private life.”\nIn this commemorative year marking the 250th anniversary of his birth, you will witness a new art form—one captivated by and inspired by this great music—come to life.\nKing International\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"C Major","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53525298839841,"sku":"4909346020719","price":4620.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4909346020719.jpg?v=1789730714","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/4909346020719","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
