She graduated from the music course of the Arts and Culture Programme, Faculty of Education, Sapporo Campus, Hokkaido University of Education, and completed her studies with highest honours at the Sibelius Academy (clarinet) and at the Rotterdam Conservatory (bass clarinet).\n1997: second prize at the 9th HIMES Competition.\n1999: appeared in the Sapporo New Artists Concert. 2000: performed with the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra at the 100th New Artists Concert of the Japan Federation of Professional Musicians.\nSecond prize at the 2nd Lahti Woodwind Competition in Finland. 2001-07: took part in the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland. 2002-04: selected in the Kuhmo Festival's young artists auditions.\n2005: fellow of the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs' Programme of Overseas Study for Upcoming Artists (fiscal year 2006).\n2005: third prize at the 1st Henri Selmer International Bass Clarinet Competition. 2007: first prize at the 1st Rotterdam International Art Music Competition.\n2003-05: clarinettist with the orchestra of the Swedish Theatre in Helsinki. 2005-08: bass clarinettist with the Netherlands Promenade Orchestra.\n\nShe studied clarinet with Daizaburo Watanabe, Tadayoshi Takeda, Hiroshi Yamamoto, A. Heiskanen, K. Kriikku and N. Braithwaite, and bass clarinet with H. Nikula and H. Bok. In masterclasses and elsewhere she has also worked with H. Mäki, M. Fröst, C. Neidich, R. Guiot, T. Martin, J. Köhler, Fumiko Oshima, R. van Spendonck, J. Farrell, A. Pay, M. Lethiec, J. Campbell, J.L. Estellés, K. Leister and W.
