This series combines the vast collection of surviving sheet music with contemporary works in an effort to bridge the past and the present. Volume 1 features performances by the Ronark Oboe Trio of Beethoven’s Trio, Op. 87—written for the legendary virtuosos, the “Timmer Brothers,” who served the princely family and were active in the 1790s—as well as Variations on the Theme of “Ote o Dousho,” WoO 28.
