He has begun recording orchestral works in collaboration with the festival for the Gramola label. This second album, recorded during sessions in Munich prior to the June 28 concert, features the symphonic fantasy “From Italy”—composed by the 21-year-old Strauss and inspired by the ruins of Rome and other sites—as well as five songs with orchestral accompaniment. Soprano Yo-Anne Bitter studied voice after graduating from the University of Munich.
