The concerto is composed mainly of the harpsichord concerto by Georg Benda, the court music master of Gotha whose compositional skills were admired by Mozart, and Wilhelm Friedemann, the eldest son of the great Bach, with two harpsichord solo pieces by Carl Philipp Emanuel in between.
