In 2023, the 150th anniversary of her birth and the 80th anniversary of her death, Fedorova's Rachmaninoff will be released in a boxed set! Anna Fedorova, a native of Kiev, Ukraine, won the first prize at the Rubinstein International Piano Competition in 2009, and has been active internationally, especially in the Netherlands, and has given excellent performances on several occasions during her tours in Japan. She has also given several performances in Japan. The complete set of Rachmaninoff piano concertos she has completed is now available in a boxed set. Speaking of Fedorova's Rachmaninoff, her live video of the Concerto No. 2 from the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in September 2013, uploaded on YouTube, has been viewed nearly 40 million times in 10 years. In this series of recordings, the tempo is relatively slow, and the dynamic piano and the orchestra's big, swirling interplay brings out more than enough of the work's lyricism and power. Fedorova said, "Many people are now trying to refrain from performing Russian music, but it is important for me to perform Rachmaninoff.The music is beautiful, powerful, and moving, and he himself was a victim of the pressures of the Russian state," he said. The set has been reconfigured to include the pieces from No. 1 to the Paganini Rhapsody in order of composition, which is a nice touch. The Prelude and Youth Symphony, which were previously recorded together, are also included, but Silvestrov's "Messenger," which was recorded with No. 3, is not included in this set. Naxos Japan
