Bach did not travel to Italy during his lifetime, but because of Duke Johann Ernst of Saxony's interest in the Italian instrumental repertoire, he had access to the works of Vivaldi, Albinoni, Torelli, and others. Bach studied them and arranged several of his works for solo harpsichord. For this album, keyboardist Giulio De Nardo has selected six of these works and arranged them into concertos for orchestra and harpsichord. De Nardo has added a string part to each piece without altering the harpsichord parts. Giulio de Nardo was born in Treviso in 1994. He studied under Andrea Marcon and won many international competitions. This is his first album as a soloist.
