While unable to perform concerts due to the spread of COVID-19, Boska researched female composers from Europe and was deeply moved by the fact that they were, in a sense, like refugees within their own societies—having suffered particularly severe hardships as a result of war. In the fall of 2021, Boska performed a program featuring these female composers; Patrick Trostle, executive producer at Yarlung Records, was deeply moved by the performance and strongly advocated to the label, making this recording a reality.
