Also included is “No. 0,” written in the same key of E-flat major as the “Emperor.” This piece was composed when Beethoven was 13 years old. Since most of the orchestral parts have been lost, there have been attempts to perform it using reconstructed versions, but Giltburg performs only the surviving solo part. Another highlight is the rich, full-bodied sound of Giltburg’s favorite Fazioli piano.\n\nBacking up Giltburg’s brilliant performance of No. 5 are, as with the previous release of Nos. 1 \u0026amp; 2, the up-and-coming conductor Vasily Petrenko and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
