Orfeo is sung by Valerio Contaldo, a tenor currently in high demand for Baroque opera recordings and performances; Eurydice is portrayed by Mariana Flores, renowned for her expressive renditions ranging from opera to Baroque art songs; and the role of the female messenger is taken by Giuseppina Bridelli, who demonstrated astonishing expressiveness on the album (ARCANAA461\/NYCX-10055), where she demonstrated astonishing expressiveness; and the Messenger, played by Giuseppina Bridelli—the poignant singing of this impeccable cast of vocalists is a highlight of the album.
