Sauli’s partitas blend French and Italian traditions and are characterized by their beautiful use of tremolo. The album also includes works by Ceccherini and Cappellini—featuring world premiere recordings—as well as one piece from *The Book of the Mandolin*, compiled in 1703.\nThe performer, Davide Ferrera, is a mandolinist from L’Aquila, Italy, born in 1992. He has collaborated with numerous ensembles, primarily in Italy, and continues to promote the appeal of the mandolin.
