Although the autograph scores have been lost, Mortensen performs these works in their original versions, reflecting the latest research findings, presenting them as suites for small ensembles—as Bach likely originally intended. For example, the trumpets and timpani characteristic of the Third Overture (Suite) have been omitted, yet the beauty of the work remains entirely intact.
