Before forming the duo, the two were students at the Hanover College of Music, and their teacher at the time, Vladimir Klinev, suggested that they take the piano duo competition, Mozart's Sonata for two pianos. Since then, Rachmaninoff has become an important part of their repertoire, and they have been planning to record all of his works, which resulted in this CD. Rachmaninoff's piano duo pieces (two pianos and four pianos) are substantial works that allow the listener to enjoy the profound sound of an orchestra, while at the same time making full use of pianistic techniques. Suite No. 2,\" which was written at a time when he had lost confidence after the failure of the premiere of Symphony No. 1, is considered to be a unique work with a poetic atmosphere. This is an album filled with the passion of the two musicians who have been working as a duo for 25 years.
