It is full of beautiful melodies praising the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chorale \"O Lord, Joy of Man's Desiring\" is used in the last song of each of the first and second parts. No. 83 is a cantata for the \"Feast of the Consecration of Mary. It tells the story of Mary's visit with Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem, and the old-fashioned psalm formulae \"intonazione\" express Simeon's joy at meeting Jesus and his gratitude for his life. No. 115 is a cantata for the \"22nd Sunday after Trinity\" with several chorales used to great effect.
