Heffs Joins on Trumpet!]\nReleased in 1993, “The Beatles Go Baroque” sparked a global craze. In 2019, marking the 50th anniversary of the release of “Abbey Road”—the Beatles’ final studio album—the long-awaited second installment has finally arrived, 26 years later. Renowned Slovakian arranger Peter Brainer once again breathes new life into the Beatles’ classic songs with his brilliant arrangements. The album opens with “Come Together,” just as *Abbey Road* does. Shifting slightly from the concerto-style arrangement of the previous album, this installment features a mix of works by Bach and Vivaldi alongside Beatles songs. He skillfully captures subtle similarities in the melodic lines, bringing the two works into perfect harmony, while also frequently surprising the listener with unexpected twists—resulting in a delightful arrangement that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The album concludes with an arrangement from the medley that graced the B-side of *Abbey Road*, and it’s a real treat that it even includes “Her Majesty.” While this was the final song performed by the four Beatles, the ending here feels like a clever nod—as if to say, “*Go Baroque* isn’t over yet.”\nOne of the highlights of this release is the participation of some astonishing virtuosos. In particular, the arrangement of the Brandenburg Concerto No. 2—famous for being the piece Paul McCartney happened to hear on the radio, which inspired the piccolo trumpet part in “Penny Lane”—features the trumpet virtuoso Matthias Hefès. His superb performance greatly enhances the piece’s appeal. Violinist Dalibor Kalvai, who previously made headlines for appearing on a Japanese documentary program, has performed in Japan on numerous occasions and is also a renowned musician who participates in the Babolák Horn Ensemble.\nNaxos Japan\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Naxos","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53525298872609,"sku":"4589538747893","price":1500.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4589538747893.jpg?v=1789730717","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/4589538747893","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
