He has released three CDs of chamber music by Dvořák, all on the ALPHA label, and this fourth album marks his fourth recording of all his chamber music, including piano. Composed in 1875, No. 1 is a piece from a period when Dvořák's style had not yet been established, but its beautiful melodic lines and Bohemian elements are very appealing. No. 2 is a sad but beautiful work written after the death of his beloved daughter. The Busch Trio, who are almost of the same generation as Dvořák, sing with empathy this youthful work by a Dvořák still in his thirties.
