The work was a huge success, and the following year, an English-language adaptation titled *Miss Springtime* was staged on Broadway. It was once again a huge success. Following this, the German librettists Wilner and Esterleicher adapted the original *Zsuzsikisasszony* into a German libretto, and the opera was staged in Vienna and Berlin. The work gained widespread popularity, even leading to a film adaptation directed by Hans Steinhof in 1931. At the heart of the story is the painter Viktor Ronai. He meets a beautiful woman at a celebration he hosted on Carnival Day. Viktor calls the woman, whose background he does not know, the “Spirit of Carnival” and captures her image in a painting; however, she is actually of noble birth and already has a fiancé… Although it’s a familiar story, Kálmán’s beautiful, bittersweet music adds a special touch to the narrative. The highlight is the beautiful voice of the acclaimed tenor Daniel Prohaska.\nNaxos Japan\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"CPO","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53525295137057,"sku":"4589538736477","price":2790.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4589538736477.jpg?v=1789730703","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/4589538736477","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
