Gudrun Gut and Bettina Kester, both core members of the predecessor band *Mania D*, formed *Malaria!* in pursuit of a new sound. With their music swirling with restlessness and passion and defying conventional norms, their songs truly capture the unique and unsettling atmosphere of West Berlin at the time. This mini-album was produced as a trio, featuring drummer Christine Hahn—who would later become a full-fledged member—as a guest. It features the original version of “Your Turn to Run”—known as one of Malaria!’s signature songs—making its CD debut, along with newly added live recordings from that era.\nThis reissue project, conceived by SuezanStudio, began in 2025 but was unfortunately put on hold following the passing of Bettina Kester in March 2026.
