The recording of that \"First Cut is the Depths\" featured Big Jim Sullivan (lead guitar), John Paul Jones (bass), and Chris Hunt (drums), as well as producer Hurst on chorus harmonies and rhythm guitar. It is interesting that Stevens' R\u0026amp;B style, which was written with Otis Redding in mind, takes on a completely different flavor when he sings.
