Description:
This is the third volume of "Saigon Supersound," a collection of gems of pop music from the 60s and 70s in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), the Paris of the Orient. This is a nice project to enjoy various variations of modern Vietnamese music of the time, funky, psychedelic and groovy, sublimating influences from Western Europe and Latin music. Saigon in South Vietnam used to be called "Paris of the East" under the influence of French rule, and in the 1960s, a lot of great music was born from the eclectic mix of imported and traditional music. However, most of the music was lost after the devastation of the Vietnam War, and after the unification of North and South Vietnam in 1975, the pop music that had been popular in the South was banned. Jan Hagenkoter, who presided over the popular club jazz label "Infracom," which was dominated by Chantel, re:jazz, and Mop Mop, unearthed such valuable prewar sounds from Vietnam, and carefully restored and remastered them for this compilation. and compiled into a compilation. This is the third volume in a series that has received a great response.The program includes Western-inspired songs, Bolero, Cha Cha Cha, and other Latin-influenced songs, dance tracks that are hot on the floor, nostalgic songs that were popular in clubs in the past, groovy, soulful, mellow, and almost enka, and more. The music selection will again be rich in variety, allowing you to enjoy the deep appeal of Vietnamese music from a variety of angles.
