The album also features a special guest appearance by Jeff Ballard, making for a truly stellar lineup. The title of the album, *Eternal Child*, is taken from a piece by the legendary pianist and composer Chick Corea. Chick Corea has been the most decisive and life-changing influence on Avishai’s career. This title holds deep, spiritual significance for Avishai.\n“For once, the album title isn’t one of my own songs,” Avishai Cohen explains. “I believe that remaining an ‘eternal child’ is the destiny of many artists. Those who can remain that way are truly fortunate.” Symbolizing these words is the photograph gracing the album cover. It depicts Avishai himself at the age of four or five. Even now, 50 years later, the “sparkle” in his eyes remains unchanged.\n“What I see in those eyes is a sense of ‘wonder.’ As a child, I was a dreamer and loved nature. Even now, I am captivated by nature, music, and all things magical. You can see that the joy of life, a sense of playfulness, and an endless curiosity were already present in those eyes.”\nOn this album, through collaborations with two young musicians—pianist Itay Simchovich (in his early 20s) and drummer Eviatar Slivnik (in his early 30s)—Avishai has made a clear return to “jazz.”\n“It has become my most jazz-oriented album to date.
