While numerous renowned recordings have been released to date, this collection presents the individual interpretations of eight contemporary Bruckner conductors.\n\n《DISC 1》 Symphony No. 1 in C minor (1865\/66 Linz version)\n● The Berlin Philharmonic had not performed this work for a quarter of a century prior to this performance with Seiji Ozawa. It is said that Bruckner referred to this symphony as a “cheeky little girl.” Although he was in his early 40s when he began composing this symphony, its sound already hints at Bruckner’s unique musical language, making it a work that foreshadows his later masterpieces.\n\n《DISC 2》Symphony No. 2 in C minor (Second Draft, 1877 Version)\n●Although the Second Symphony is an early work, it is already brimming with Bruckner’s distinctive personality. The dramatic tension and lyrical beauty brought to life by Paavo Järvi’s conducting are a must-hear.\n\n《DISC 3》 Symphony No. 3 in D minor (First Draft, 1873)\n● The Symphony No. 3, whose first draft was completed in 1873, is affectionately known as the “Wagner Symphony” because it was dedicated to Wagner. However, after the Vienna Philharmonic refused to premiere it in 1874, the composer undertook his first revisions, resulting in a third draft. Blomstedt presents the 1873 first draft version, which began to be reevaluated in the mid-20th century.
