The source material for both reissues consists of 2-track, 38-centimeter open-reel tapes.\nIn addition, the booklet includes an account by German literature scholar and literary critic Toyotaka Komiya (1884–1966) of his impressions from a concert he attended in Munich in May 1924, featuring the Berlin Philharmonic conducted by Furtwängler. While there are several known accounts by Japanese people who heard Furtwängler perform in Europe, this is likely one of the earliest.
