As he approaches the 20th anniversary of his debut in 2020, he has finally launched his own label, “MARCOCREATORS.”\nThe first album released under this label is *Platero and I*. This masterpiece for guitar and recitation was composed by Italian composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco based on *Platero and I*, the seminal work by Spanish Nobel Prize-winning poet Juan Ramón Jiménez.\nJiménez, who made his literary debut at a young age, wrote this work while returning to his hometown of Moguer to find peace of mind. It is a collection of 138 prose poems that convey the beauty found in the natural surroundings and simple daily life of his hometown, as well as the joys and sorrows of life, through a series of monologues addressed to a donkey named Platero. From these, Tedeschi selected 28 pieces and composed a work for guitar and recitation.\nOhagi has been performing this work in concert with Mutsumi Hatano since 2016, and this album features a complete recording of the entire work, with Hatano herself reciting a new Japanese translation. Hatano has carefully translated the poems—told through Jiménez’s warm gaze—into Japanese, breathing new life into the stories with witty expressions, such as occasionally rendering the Andalusian dialect as the Miyazaki dialect (the region where both artists hail from). Furthermore, Ohagi—known as the “Poet of the Guitar, Painter of Resonance”—uses his rich musical sensibility to bring the scenes of the poems to life. The album cover features a work by copperplate engraver Yoko Yamamoto, which embodies the worldview of the collection.\nKing International\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"MARCO CREATORS","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53525304869153,"sku":"4573686060027","price":5000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4573686060027.jpg?v=1789730742","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/4573686060027","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
