Koichi Komine, violaKoichi Komine studied violin under Kenichi Miyazawa from the age of six, and switched to viola at the age of eleven. She studied viola under Junji Suganuma, B. Pasquier, C. Lerone, and F. Nyeri, and gave her debut recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in 2007 (sponsored by the Japan Federation of Musicians), which was well received by various magazines including \"Music Today. In the same year, she received the Bonnat Museum Prize from the Maurice Ravel International Academy of Music and was invited to give a recital at the \"Recital de Printemps\" in Ravel's birthplace.In 2014, she appeared as a soloist in the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra's \"New Year Concert\" (Junichi Hirokami, conductor); in 2015, she performed Schumann \"Piano Quintet\" with M. Argerich at the Beppu Argerich Music Festival; in 2019, she will premiere Kenji Sakai's \"Viola Concerto 'Historia'\" with the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra ( In 2022, she will perform again with Mr. Argerich in Beppu. In addition, he has appeared at numerous music festivals and on the radio, including Viola Space, Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto (now Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival), Recital Nova (NHK-FM), and with J. Poullet, O. Charlier, Jan Songwon, E. Strossé, G. Hoffmann, and the Wihan String Quartet.
