Centered around Beethoven’s violin sonatas in each performance, along with violin sonatas by Franck, Mozart, Schubert, and Debussy, these concerts have earned high praise for their exquisite sound and profound expression, which perfectly capture the duo’s unique style. This album is a collection of short pieces performed as encores at those concerts, and all tracks are being released for the first time! You’ll be deeply moved by their performances, born of perfect musical synergy.\n\n“Brimming with a live atmosphere, this superb recording clearly captures the sound images and positioning of both musicians—you can even imagine the violinist’s bowing. This is a genuine ‘encore’ album—the kind that seems like it should exist but has been almost nonexistent.” (From the liner notes by Kazuhiko Watanabe)\n\n\u003ctakeyuki hashigo\u003e\nIn 1994, he won first prize as the youngest participant at both the International Music Competition for the Blind and Visually Impaired in the Czech Republic and the International Youth Piano Competition in Ettlingen, Germany (Category B), where his rich musicality was recognized.
