Brimming with a love for “melody,” it was conceived as a collection of symphonic soundtracks for a fictional film—or as the soundtrack for a movie that will never be made. Comprising 10 original themes (instrumental) written for orchestra and one vocal track performed by Barbieri himself, the album offers a moving experience resonant with the echoes of European cinema. In the final vocal track, his voice blends seamlessly as another instrument, bringing the album full circle.\n\n■ During the pandemic, he studied orchestration, and the results of that study came to fruition in his 2021 album *Beloved Memories*, featuring collaborations with the prestigious Colli Morenichi Orchestra and others. Building on this foundation, this album features a collaboration with the “OneLoveChamberOrchestra,” formed by string quartets, trios, and soloists with whom he has performed in the past. The ensemble consists of four first violins, three second violins, three violas, three cellos, three double basses, two flutes, one clarinet, two horns, one harp, one percussionist, and one timpanist.\n\n■I had long nurtured a desire to create works reminiscent of film scores and instrumental music, and what ultimately solidified that desire was director Giuseppe Tornatore’s film *Malena* (2000; music by Ennio Morricone).
