Compared to modern trombones, it has a smaller bell and is made of a soft metal containing many impurities; as a result, despite its slender build, it is characterized by a soft and delicate range of nuances. Furthermore, due to its rich resonance that blends seamlessly into the church, it is often referred to as “the angelic instrument blessed by God.” I feel that Monteverdi’s music is overflowing with compassion and love in every scene. Following Monteverdi’s example, I would like to sing and speak of love through the sacabut, with its dull golden luster.
