Dünser, a student of Francis Bult and Hans Werner Henze, is an accomplished orchestrator. The songs have been expanded from piano accompaniment to orchestral music, and the string quartet to a chamber symphony, each with more color and a richer aroma. This is the second recording of Zemlinsky's works for ONDINE, following \"The Little Mermaid\" (ODE 1237).
