Description:

This is the long-awaited second album by the trumpet player Jin Ueda, who has been active in the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra (guest No. 1 player) and as the leader of the Buzz Five brass quintet. It features a total of seven pieces, including Halsey Stevens' "Sonata," a standard solo trumpet piece, Ennio Morricone's "Gabriel's Oboe," and Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue. The sparkling and elongated trumpet tone of Jin Ueda is a must-hear. Jin Ueda graduated from the music department of Horikawa High School in Kyoto and Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. In 2000, he won the first prize in the trumpet division of the 69th Japan Music Competition and the Matsushita Prize. In 2001, they won the first prize in the brass quintet division of the Japan Brass Competition 2001, as well as the Grand Prize, the Mayor of Kawasaki Prize, and the Senzoku Gakuen Prize.He has performed concertos with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, Central Aichi, and others. He studied trumpet with Hiroaki Hayasaka, Masahiko Kurano, Genzo Kitamura, and Uwe Komischke. Studied chamber music under Masakatsu Kurita, Toshi Kamiya, and Walter Hilgers. He is a guest first chair of the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, a contracted member of the Siena Wind Orchestra, the leader of Buzz Five, a member of the Tokyo Trumpet Quartet and the Kyoto Trumpet Group Summer Breeze, and a supervisor of the Zoorasian Brass. Full-time lecturer at Nagoya College of Music. Lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen School of Music, Graduate School of Music. He has written many instructional books, and in recent years has also been active as a studio player, performing commercial music, game music, and background music for TV dramas, as well as the trumpet of Rena Kosaka in the TV anime "Hibike Euphonium.
