Throughout the 12 tracks on the album (plus one bonus track on the Japanese edition), Braxton unabashedly shares his appeal as an accomplished alto saxophonist and vocalist. Each song boldly reveals the inner world of Braxton Cook's own mind, giving listeners a strong and intimate insight into the life of a young man. The title track, "Somewhere in Between," is a beautiful number that echoes the sweet voice of an anonymous crowd of whispering white noise that spreads pleasantly.
