This purposeful duo adopted the concept of “lullabies for adults” and they independently released their first album, *If All the World Were Paper* (2024), recorded in one take at LM Studio in Osaka.\nThis second album, *Play Nursery Rhymes and Children’s Songs*, was created with the vision of publishing a picture book, further refining and developing the unique world they have crafted into sound. Two of the four tracks are new recordings—one based on the Shiga Prefecture lullaby “Nennen Mori no” and the other on the masterpiece “Buranko,” with lyrics by Masuyo Tsuzuki and music by Yasushi Akutagawa. The other two tracks are reworked versions of British folk songs that stood out on *If All the World…*: “Hey Diddle Diddle” and “There Was an Old Woman~.” Through *Play…*, Tokiyo Ooto and Orhythmo use highly contemporary methods to dredge up from the depths of their symbols the remnants of the mythical quality that these songs must have originally possessed but which was lost over the course of their long history, and present them to us in an allegorical form. Recording, mixing, and mastering were handled by Ippei Suda at LM Studio, and the artwork was created by Yoshikazu Ano.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Em Records","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53485802914081,"sku":"4560283212256","price":2750.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4560283212256.jpg?v=1789046612","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/products\/4560283212256","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
