Before that, his teacher and father began making secret recordings of him when he was in elementary school, and continued to do so from time to time until 1978, when he made his debut and began recording for major labels. This is a valuable source of recordings showing that he was playing standard guitar pieces such as Albeniz's Sevilla when he was a student. The first five songs on this CD, including this one, have never been released as recordings, and have not been recorded on any of Kazuhito Yamashita's 90 LP or CD titles since his debut. Also included at the end of this CD is his first performance with an orchestra at the age of 14. Performing with him was the Yokohama Symphony Orchestra conducted by another of his teachers, Kojiro Ofune. Also included is a grand solo for guitar played as an encore, and a 16-page booklet with repertoire and biographical information from that time. Please note that this CD may contain some noise due to deterioration of old analog tapes and venue noise from the live performance.
