[In the late 1990s, after recovering from a broken finger, Peraia broke new ground with a series of recordings of Bach's works, including the English Suites, Goldberg Variations, and Piano Concerto. During his absence from performing, Peraia made a deep study of Bach's music and made it his own spiritual anchor. In the six partitas, the largest scale collection of Bach's keyboard works, the accumulation of his contemplation has borne fruit, and we can hear beautiful Bach that discloses the depths of the works with the delicate lyricism that only Pellaea can deliver.
