On July 22, Arnoncourt conducted the \"Missa Solemnis\" once more at the Salzburg Festival, and it was the last performance of his life. Arnoncourt first performed \"Missa solemnis\" at the opening concert of the Salzburg Festival in 1992, a monumental performance that marked his debut at the festival. After that, he only performed it in 1998 and 2012, and this \"Missa solemnis\" was the first time he performed it with his hand-picked contingent.
