ELO's first new album in 14 years is now available in paperback. Digitally remastered by Jeff Lynne himself, and reissued using the latest Expanded Edition master tapes from 2006, featuring many previously unreleased bonus tracks. This album was released in 1986. This is the 11th album released by ELO, which was thought to have already broken up, after an interval of about 3 years. The band members for this album were suddenly announced to be Jeff, Bev Bevan, and Richard Dandy, and the recording was done at Musicland Studios in Munich, their old home. While the previous album, "Secret Message," had fallen into an esoteric direction with a strong Jeff Lynne solo project tinge, here the band once again developed an exquisite combination of fantastical pop and electronics. It is full of a pop sensibility similar to that of the masterpiece "Discovery. After the release of this album, Jeff Lynne turned his attention to producing and became involved with George Harrison, Brian Wilson, and Randy Newman, leading to the formation of the Traveling Wilburys.
